BenQ C530
The BenQ C530 is a five megapixel point and shoot digital camera. Like the C630, it comes in five colors which include black, white, red, silver and blue. It features ’shake free’ image stabilization and a maximum ISO of 1000.
The BenQ DC C530/C630 features a shake-free function allowing the user to take clear and precise shots without any distortion. This function can be selected directly from the function wheel allowing the user to capture shake-free images.
Both cameras also boot the High ISO Portrait function (ISO 800~1000) which enables users to take ambient photos indoor and in dimmed light environments without the need of using flash.
In addition, the Auto Exposure Bracket (AEB) allows the user to take three continuous photos with different exposure value (EV) to get the best shooting condition for the best picture quality results.
The Printer Mode function is an easy way for users to directly print photos out via the compatible printer (with the PictBridge feature which enables you to connect directly to your printer) without connecting to the computer first.
The BenQ DC C530/C630 will be available on the market in April.

LAS VEGAS, Nev., (January 5, 2005) – BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today unveiled three new additions to its digital camera lineup, the X600, C800 and E521. The highlight of the three models is the X600, the world’s smallest 6-megapixel camera. All three digital cameras offer an ultra-slim, compact design and versatile feature set, and are ideal for consumers seeking a high-quality multi-function digital camera at an affordable price.
Equipped with Pentax’s Super-Multi Coating (SMC) lens and a 3X optical zoom, the X600 delivers true-to-life, crisp photos with pristine clarity and superb contrast. A 2.5-inch high resolution LTPS LCD screen and VGA movie recording at 30fps with AVI (MPEG-4) format ensures comfortable viewing and super smooth movie clips. In addition, the X600 offers a smart photo-editing function that includes trimming, resizing, rotation, color filter, movie editing, all of which can be done via a touch of a few bottoms on the camera itself. The compact design and ultra-thin thickness of 1.9 cm make the X600 an ideal accessory for on-the-go consumers.
The E521 features a 5-megapixel CCD (charge-coupled device), 3X optical zoom, MPEG-4 movie format and 2.0-inch OLED advanced display screen for very sharp rendering of photos. Targeting technology “first adopters” who demand the most advanced solutions, the camera features Pentax’s Super-Multi Coating (SMC) lens, a 3X optical zoom and fluid VGA movie recording at 30fps with AVI (MPEG-4) format.
The compact C800 features an 8-megapixel CCD (charge-coupled device), 3X optical zoom, MPEG-4 movie format and a large 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen for clear and comfortable photo viewing. The camera comes equipped with a Printer Mode for direct printing via a compatible printer and Burst Mode that enables four (4) shots to be taken per snap. The camera can be used as a Dictaphone and is bundled with 26MB of built-in memory.
BenQ DC C500
One of the lightest 5 megapixel digital cameras with a fixed focus lens is the BenQ DC C500. It hasa 1.7 inch LCD screen and has PictBridge compatibility for easy printing without a computer.
“The BenQ DC C500 is an exciting addition to the digital camera market and we are looking to promote it heavily in the coming months,” said Robert Dung, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East.
“Design, picture quality and portability are key attributes in the digital camera market, and – through the use of BenQ’s advanced image technical – this model scores highly in this area,” he added.
The BenQ DC C500 has all the resolution that the holiday shopper will need, and with in camera editing, you have a camera that you can use and get prints done without ever needing to touch a computer.
BenQ is looking to capture a majority share of the digital camera’s highly competitive market in 2006.
The launch of the C500 comes at the end of another successful year of trading for BenQ, which has not only witnessed a major product growth but also the company’s 64th international design award.
Pretty good for a company mostly known for its LCD Monitors.
