Nikon’s Coolpix S6 WiFi Camera Leaked
Engadget found out about the Coolpix S6, a WiFi digital camera.
…the Coolpix S6 subcompact, couldn’t be contained by the mere likes of the FCC. From what we gleaned, we can expect it to have built-in 802.11b/g for sending pics back to the mothership (sorry, looks like yet another software-driven solution, no Flickr support just yet), a 6 megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom, 3-inch 230,000 pixel display, 22MB of internal memory, and an SD slot. We’re gonna guess it’ll be announced sometime soon (CES certainly isn’t out of the cards).
It is always interesting to see what new cameras will include.

Nikon Coolpix L1 Review
Imaging Resource looks at the Nikon Coolpix L1, a compact digital camera with a decent list of features.
Portable and compact, the Nikon Coolpix L1 ranks among the smaller digital cameras currently on the market. Slightly taller than a credit card (just about as wide), and a little under two inches thick, the Nikon L1 is designed to fit into shirt pockets and small purses, perfect for travelers. It’s so tiny (weighing just 8.0 ounces or 227 grams with the battery and memory card loaded), I’d highly recommend keeping the included wrist strap securely around your wrist when shooting. The automatic lens cover makes it quick on the draw, and eliminates any worry about keeping track of a lens cap. The camera’s black body with shiny silver highlights is attractive and understated.

Sony Cameras Fail Quality Test in China
It looks like Sony might not be taking the time and consideration in manufacturing their cameras as they should, which is leading to them failing inspection. The details from the report on Interfax China:
Nine Sony cameras were selected for inspection and six failed. The affected cameras are the DSC-H1, DSC-L1, DSC-P200, DSC-W7, DSC-W5 and DSC-S90. Olympus FE-110 Review
The Olympus FE-110 was recently reviewed by Photoxels and they put it as nothing more than an entry level camera.
The Olympus FE-110 is an entry-level digital camera for those most particularly interested only in an affordable snapshooter. If you are into photography, and want to learn and grow in it, the Olympus FE-110 does not have the features or image quality you need for that.
But if you are looking for an affordable present for a young child or an easy-to-use point-and-shoot for someone who wants to use it for their blogs, we would recommend that you look into the Olympus FE-110 instead of a “no-name” brand. Besides getting Olympus support, you would also get a quality Olympus lens, a well-built body, easy menu structure and peace of mind.
Canon PowerShot A610 Digital Camera
Imaging Resource puts up another one of their “quick” reviews on the Canon PowerShot A610 digital camera, and finished it off with a longer list of pro’s over con’s, so it should be a pretty good camera to grab.
Canon’s PowerShot line of digital cameras have always been big favorites of IR readers, valued for their user-friendly design, excellent photo characteristics, and good build quality. The Canon PowerShot A610 is an very worthy addition near the top of that line, offering a 5-megapixel CCD and a very good quality 4x optical zoom lens. It offers everything from fully automatic to fully manual exposure control, with a healthy set of scene modes thrown in to make it easy to bring back great-looking photos from what might otherwise be challenging situations.
